Rhapsodi

Since Glanaethwy’s success in the TV series Last Choir Standing the choir’s schedule has been full to overflowing. We received a very warm reception in all corners of the land, and had the opportunity to sing in great venues with first rate artists and orchestras. We also had the chance to record a series of six programmes on TV for S4C, and most of the songs on this CD are a product of that series. We are now looking forward to the Choral Olympics in Shaoxing, China, where choirs from around 60 countries will be competing, and we consider it a great honour to represent Wales amongst the world’s best. Da Capo was formed in the Spring of 2009 from amongst the ex-students of Ysgol Glanaethwy, to take part in our TV series on S4C. Working again with these talented young people was such a joyous experience that they decided to keep on singing and prepare for a re-launch in the autumn of 2010. This is a band of dedicated performers who are currently working on a live show which will introduce an exciting new element into the light entertainment scene in Wales.
