Cyn Cau'r Drws

Aled Lloyd Davies is a leading exponent of the traditional art of Cerdd Dant, the singing of poetry to harp accompaniment, where the harp plays one melody and the words are sung to a counter melody. He is a former Headmaster at Maes Garmon School in Mold, and the conductor of male party Parti Menlli for many years. He is also a national adjudicator and a prolific author. He is also the Chairman of the Local Committee of this year’s National Eisteddfod. This compilation contains some of his best tracks from his early LPs and CDs as well as new recordings, together with some favourites by Parti Meibion Menlli.
