Eight years after recording a CD of Ceredigion Carols with ‘SAIN’ recording company, the children and young people of Ceredigion Schools are about to bring out a new CD of songs. The CD will feature over 500 young singers, and performances by four choirs: Primary Schools Choir – a choir for Year 6 primary school pupils. Intermediate Choir – a three-part choir (soprano, alto, and baritone) i for pupils between 11 and 14 years. Male Choir – a three part choir for boys with broken voices Youth Choir – a four part choir for pupils between 15 and 18 years. ‘SAIN’ is once again producing the CD which will contain 16 songs, including one that will feature all four choirs singing together. The featured songs are ones that have proved popular and successful in music service concerts over the past few years – a musical selection drawn from a variety of styles, with something to suit everybody’s taste. The choirs are conducted by Emyr Wynne Jones, the County Music Adviser. The CD promises to be a feast of choral singing, and a product which Ceredigion should be justifiably proud of.
