The Silurian Sound

The Rhymney Silurian Male Choir was formed in 1951 and will soon be embarking on its special 60th anniversary celebrations. Bearing this in mind the choir is proud to bring out its second CD to commemorate the special event. For this CD the choir has included a variety of music. There is music from the United States of America, Africa, and New Zealand, but also not forgetting our own Welsh roots. We have music from the world of opera as well as Musical Theatre and Films. All in all there is something for all musical tastes. From its initial birth the choir swiftly established a reputation for the quality of its performance and the variety of its repertoire. The desire to embrace musical innovation has been its trademark throughout its history.
