Hwn yr fy Mrawd was commissioned by the Cardiff National Eisteddfod 2018 and the first performances were given by Sir Bryn Terfel, Steffan Cennydd, Matthew Gough, Elain Llwyd, Elin Llwyd, Mared Williams, John Ieuan Jones and Steffan Prys Roberts, along with Côrdydd led by Huw Foulkes, and the Eisteddfod Youth Choir led by Delyth Medi including pupils at Ninian Park Primary School, Treorchy Male Voice Choir led by Jeffery Howard and Black Voices. Betsan Llwyd the age of an instruction man, and Rhys Taylor was the arranger of the music.
