In this revealing book we are given snapshots - literally - of every aspect of the life and history of one of contemporary Wales's true icons.

This is an unique collection which combines photographs from Dafydd's family album with the work of some of Wales's best-known documentary photographers of the twentieth century, including Geoff Charles, Marian Delyth, Raymond Edwards and Gerallt Llewelyn. Black and white shots from the 1960s sit next to modern colour images; some pictures document important turning-points in recent Welsh history, whilst others show Dafydd and his family relaxing in private.
