It is a pleasure to present this book of poem tunes by Owain Siôn.
Owain is familiar to all in the dandy music world as a reverberator, installer, coach and melodic composer. Originally from Llwydyrus, he made his mark at an early age winning a host of awards at the Urdd Eisteddfodau, the National and the Ŵyl Gerdd Dant, as soloist, as one half of a few duets and as a member of the Old Mill Hogs trio, with his brothers Elis and Iorwerth. It is now the young people of Cardiff and and fro who benefit from his talents, that Owain is now a Welsh teacher at Ysgol Gyfun Glantaf, Cardiff. Under his leadership will come the school's dandelion music partiers and a music choir the City Girls' tooth to the top very often in music competitions the treat of our national holiday.
This is a diverse collection of tunes, most of them appearing in print for the first time, and each with some distinctive tone. Several of Owain's tunes are already part of the repertoire of the dandelion music verses and I trust that these will also field.
