The Top 20 Best-loved Welsh Hymns

The Top 20 Welsh hymns, chosen by a public poll, taken from the best recordings of the last 20 years. During the early months of 1993, hundreds of people throughout Wales sent in to SAIN a list of their 20 best-loved hymns, set out in order of preference. The lists were varied and interesting, and showed telling variations according to region, age and gender. They were all collated by computer, and SAIN finally arrived at a ‘top 20’, in order of popularity. Recordings of these were chosen from the tape library of SAIN – hence the unique collection.
