This is Tecwyn Ifan's 9th solo album, over more than 40 years since releasing his first album "Y Dref Wen" in 1977. Santa Roja (the red Saintess) is released during the birthday week of the poet Waldo Williams, because there is a strong ling between many of the songs and the poet's themes.

Osian Huw Williams, Aled Wyn Hughes, Pwyll ap Sion and Elan Mererid Rhys join in on the album.
