John Owen-Jones - May Each Day
Award winning performer John Owen-Jones releases a version of ‘May Each Day’, as a single for December. This was originally made famous by Andy Williams in 1966. The release follows his sold out show recently in Swansea, where the fans asked for a new track. The single will also feature a stirring acapella version of ‘Eli Jenkins’ Prayer’ which John originally performed on his ‘Unmasked’ album…as a hidden track! John says:
“I wanted to record something that had a universal message and this song fits the bill, I feel. The lyrics suit the holiday season but can apply all year round. You don’t have to listen to this song just at Christmas time! I’m also releasing it as a kind of “thank you” to all my fans and supporters. I wanted to give them something to listen to before I head back into the studio next year…”
John Owen-Jones’s live show featured tracks from his ‘Unmasked’ album, which was released in April to great critical acclaim. Recently John has been filming a brand new drama for BBC 3, called ‘In The Flesh’ and for ‘Scott & Bailey’ on ITV 1. Both of these shows will be on TV in 2013. John continues to perform concerts in the UK and Europe. John Owen-Jones previously performed the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘The Phantom of the Opera UK Tour’ in a spectacular new production by Cameron Mackintosh. John is no stranger to the role and considered by fans worldwide to be the definitive Phantom with nearly 2000 performances in the role. John has also enjoyed critical acclaim for his award winning performance in the lead role of Jean Valjean in ‘Les Miserables – 25th Anniversary Tour; a role John also played with great success in the West End and on Broadway.
