BRYTHONIAID MALE CHOIR

Biography

Formed in 1964, the Brythoniaid Male Choir from the Blaenau Ffestiniog area of Gwynedd has been at the forefront of Welsh choral singing for four decades. For most of that time, the conductor was Meirion Jones, and the best-selling “20 of the best” compilation (SAIN SCD 2018) is testimony to the standards they attained under his baton. The author Gwen Moffat wrote:
“At first they were merely a collection of men in a chapel hall – nothing more, but then Meirion Jones collected their concentration and they sang, they fused into a whole that was far greater than the sum of its parts…. Brythoniaid isn’t a choir but an experience…”
